Global warming

Global warming is a popular topic that is in the news often, and one I am particularly fond of discussing. Global warming may also affect wildlife and species that cannot survive in warmer environments may become extinct. Finally, human health is also at stake, as global warming may result in the spreading of certain diseases such as malaria, the flooding of major cities, a greater risk of heat stroke for individuals, and poor air quality. Global warming as we know it is more likely caused by changes in solar activity, do not just look at one point of view. So-called environmentalists should stop branding those who have an alternate explanation for this phenomena as heretics.

Global warming is the fad for the 2000s. Global warming will reduce access to clean water and food supplies , particularly in Africa and Asia. Disasters, violence and disease are expected to be more frequent and intense, making the future of the world's poorest children more bleak. Global warming could melt enough polar ice to raise the sea level. In certain parts of the world, human disease could spread, and crop yields could decline.

Global warming could be something, or could be nothing, but we will come and go and the planet "will little note nor long remember.".(Apologies to A. Lincoln.) We are not hurting this planet, though we may be fouling our nest a bit. Global warming, even most skeptics have concluded, is the real deal, and human activity has been causing it. If there was any consolation, it was that the glacial pace of nature would give us decades or even centuries to sort out the problem. Global Warming and the resulting climate change is one of the most serious environmental problems facing the world community. This book is the most comprehensive guide available to the subject.

Global warming and climate change is looked at in this section of the global issues web site. Introduced are some of the effects of climate change. Global warming can have many different causes, but it is most commonly associated with human interference, specifically the release of excessive amounts of greenhouse gases. With this gas buildup, the Earth's atmosphere warms to unnatural temperatures, which causes, among other things, sea levels to rise. Global warming throws all that historical data out the window.

Global Warming is a dramatically urgent and serious problem. We don't need to wait for governments to find a solution for this problem: each individual can bring an important help adopting a more responsible lifestyle: starting from little, everyday things. Global Warming is not a farce because a war broke out. Global warming is a farce because it is not substantiated by facts. Global warming is an issue. Think about the summer we have just had - it seemed like winter.

Global warming, acid rain, ozone layer depletion, and ground-level ozone pollution all pose a serious threat to the quality of life on Earth. They are separate problems, but, as has been seen, there are links between each. Global warming and cooling DOES happen naturally, BUT the problem is the RATE at which it is happening. It doesn’t give species populations the time to ADAPT. Global warming skeptics consider that the weather models used to establish global warming and to forecast its impacts are distorted. According to the models, if calculations are made the last few decades must have been much worse as compared to actually happened to be.

Global warming is a very difficult problem to fix. People are having a hard time agreeing on what to do about it. Global warming has nothing to do with how much CO2 is produced or what we do here on Earth. For millions of years, solar activity has been controlling temperatures on Earth and even now, the sun controls how high the mercury goes. Global warming does not guarantee that each year will set records for hurricanes, according to Trenberth. He notes that last year's activity was related to very favorable upper-level winds as well as the extremely warm SSTs.
